Becketts Farm
Over the years, the business has expanded to include a farm shop, retail, cookery school and café on site. As a result, Becketts required a system that could handle both the retail and hospitality sides of their growing business.
Requirement
Becketts Farm has been a Cunninghams EPOS Group client for over 10 years, previously using Cunninghams’ legacy product called Absolute. Becketts Farm spoke to Cunninghams about upgrading their system and moved over to Cunninghams’ feature-rich Quantum software during lockdown.
Solution
The team at Cunninghams made the transition to the Quantum system simple and efficient. Quantum offers a FIC-compliant scale and labelling solution that integrates seamlessly with Beckett Farm's EPOS system. This allows customers to source products from various farm areas—such as the bakery, butchers, and fruit and veg—and pay at a single terminal rather than queuing at multiple locations.

The farm has also implemented Quantum’s loyalty feature to sell experience days, such as butchery classes and cream teas, as well as gift cards. These cards can be redeemed in the café or farm shop, helping to drive footfall and increase revenue.

The system operates across 18 integrated terminals with chip & PIN functionality. All terminals are managed via a centralised solution, yet they remain fully redundant, allowing them to operate independently in the event of a master terminal failure. Additionally, Quantum’s offline capability ensures smooth operations, even in the farm's rural location with limited internet connectivity.
Results
Beckett Farm has seen significant improvements since implementing the Quantum system. Queue times have been reduced, creating a smoother and more enjoyable experience for customers, who can now shop across different areas of the farm and pay at a single terminal. This streamlined process has enhanced the overall customer journey while improving operational efficiency.
